Q&As

  • The wedding service will take place at:

The Church of Our Lady and St Peter

    15 The Terrace, Aldeburgh, Suffolk IP15 5HJ

The service will begin at 1.00 pm. Please arrive by 12.30 pm.

    Celebrations will continue afterwards at:

    Butley Priory

The Clumps, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12 3NR

  • The dress code is formal wear.

Tails are very much welcomed and hats encouraged!

  • You are not alone and great news, we are keeping things super simple!

We are having what is known as a Catholic ‘Wedding without Mass’. This means our ceremony will not include the Liturgy of the Eucharist or Holy Communion - so there is no need to study up on rituals or secret handshakes.

Expect a very happy celebration with a few lovely readings, a couple of sing-along hymns, and that “I do” bit we’ve all been waiting for.

  • We would love you to be fully present with us during the ceremony, so we kindly ask for an unplugged ceremony with no photos or cameras in the church.

Once we are out of the church, please feel free to take all the photos you wish!

  • Please RSVP on our wedding website by 13th March 2026.

You will find the RSVP button in the top right corner of this website - just follow the link!

  • If you have a plus one, their name will be listed on your invitation or RSVP form.

We wish we could extend the invitation to everyone’s guests, but due to space limitations, only named guests are invited.

  • This will be an adults-only celebration.

We hope you can enjoy a day (and night!) off to relax and celebrate with us.

  • Parking near Our Lady & St Peter is very limited, so we would recommend using the nearby public car parks in Aldeburgh and walking to the Church.

The closest parking is at the local Protestant Church - St Peter and St Paul’s on Victoria Rd, located a 4 mins walk away.

This car park is free, but please make an appropriate donation as they rely on contributions to keep it open to the public.

You can donate at various donation boxes outside & inside the church, and using their card reader inside too.

  • The easiest way of getting to Butley Priory from Aldeburgh is by car, and is a leisurely 25 mins drive through the Suffolk countryside.

There is plenty of free parking available at the venue.

Please let us know if you foresee any issues getting from the Church to the venue.

  • You’re in good company - Katie is legendary for her hangry moments, so feeding everyone is a high priority!

After the ceremony, we will have drinks and canapés at Butley Priory.

Soon after, we will roll into the main wedding breakfast, and evening food will also be provided.

Basically, if Katie’s not hangry, no one will be, so your stomach is in very safe hands!

  • Absolutely. Please bring your best moves (and worst ones too).

The band, bride and groom will make sure the dance floor is never empty.

  • Friday evening:

To kick off the weekend in style, we’re hosting the very first Butley Dash, a light-hearted 5km fun run (or gentle stroll!) around Butley Priory at 6:30pm. Once we have crossed the finish line, we will celebrate with welcome drinks and pizza from 7pm. All are welcome, whether you’re running, cheering, or just thirsty!

Check out the Butley Dash section of the website for all the details.

    Sunday morning:

Join us at 11am for some post-party recovery with brunch on Sunday morning at Butley Priory. There is also a tennis court, so if you fancy a game, bring your racket (Katie will be there!).

  • Ahead of the big day, feel free to reach out to Olivier (the project manager!) on 07913 726245, or Katie on 07496 656269 with any questions or things you need.

On the day itself, if you have any questions, concerns, or last-minute hiccups, please contact either:

    • Our wonderful best man, Andrew van den Bent-Kelly (07913 726232).

    • Our fabulous bridesmaid, Emma Flint (07766 855404).

They will be more than happy to help with anything you need on the day!

  • Of course – we wouldn't dream of getting married without a local parkrun nearby!

Rendlesham Forest parkrun is just a 7 minute drive, or 1km run away from Butley Priory.

The groom (and most of the groomsmen!) will be there too.

  • Sunday 14th June 2026 is officially designated as a rest day (by order of the bride and groom).

No fitness gains will be recorded, tracked, or even acknowledged, especially for any triathletes out there.
