LOCATION

We are thrilled to have our wedding ceremony in the coastal town of Aldeburgh at the Church of Our Lady and St Peter. Built in the 1920’s and located two streets away from Aldeburgh’s pebble beach, we love that you can see and hear the waves of the North Sea from the Church’s windows.

The parish priest, Fr. David Bagstaff, has been a close family friend of the van den Bent-Kellys for over 25 years - having celebrated Olivier’s First Holy Communion when he was eight years old, and the funerals of both his Irish grandparents. We are so happy we can continue that connection, and that he is the one marrying us.

PLEASE NOTE:

The Church is a small parish building, so whilst the vast majority of those attending will have a seat, there might be a few guests who will have to stand at the back.

We request that those who are not family or part of the wedding party (and are able to) be willing to stand if necessary.

Post-ceremony, our wedding reception will be hosted at Butley Priory - a 25 mins journey by car. Over 700 years old, and once the gatehouse of an Augustinian monastery, Butley Priory lies deep in the Suffolk countryside, surrounded by forests and ferns. We fell in love with its beauty, age and surrounding countryside as soon as we discovered it. This was only made stronger with the personal connection we have as the venue is run by relatives of our close friend, Davina. With exclusive run of the entire site, Butley Priory will act as our ‘central hub’ across our wedding weekend.

We look forward to seeing you there!
